I have been back working on miniatures, but it is going slowly. I took a break for about 2 years and started working again in 2024. I had a very nice routine established before the break, I am trying so hard to get back to. Gosh, I will working super hard :)!!

I am in the process of making 100 new miniatures that will include wing chairs, sofas, ottomans, and painted shelves. When I see the work coming together, I feel excited about creating again and can't wait to get them listed in the shop!

Fabulouslyflawedminiatures is finally reopened!!

Hello, I finally have the shop reopened, it's a soft reopening. I will be adding new items daily until I get everything reloaded. Once I the normal stock items up, I will begin working on woodwork and furniture pieces. Thank you all so much for keeping up with me and checking in on my shop. I've already had lots of views!!! This makes me happy. 

I am going thru lots of mini storage boxes and finding lots of goodies. There are things that I've started but never completed and there are things that are completed that need uploading. It's fun looking in the boxes and finding things I forgot about. Today is day two, and I'm so excited to be back. I can't wait to start working on one of a kind pieces. Wishing you all a great day!!

Hello Friends…

 

Happy New Year! It’s been a long time, 3 years to be exact! Wow, I never thought I would be gone that long, so many times I tried to get back to it, but life took over. Nothing bad, just life. My mom joined our family for about 2.5 years. Mom and I share a “DIY” passion, so we basically worked on my entire house. I’m not kidding! 

I love old classic furniture made from quality woods. We spent quite a bit of time visiting thrift, goodwill, and vintage stores scouting out wonderful finds. But...they all needed editing, i.e., removing old stain, fixing, sanding and finally staining to bring the items back to life. I admit, it was a hard job, but it was great spending time with mom doing things we both love. Remember COVID, yep went thru that too! I was so proud that we all remained COVID-free up until the very end. By that time we all were vaccinated, so it wasn’t too bad. In May of last year, mom moved to Texas, that was and is, very difficult for me. We are extremely close. I miss her company so much. The remainder of the year I finished up projects and enjoyed Christmas time with family, including mom! 

It’s a new year and I have miniatures on my mind. I am finally at a place where I can began to create and sell again. Oh man, I’ve missed the mini world!

Although I haven’t be active, I see many of you have and I love watching what you are making, how you are using social media to showcase your work and the wonderful projects you are producing. It’s great! I am so inspired! 

This week has been the start of getting my shop, fabulouslyflawedminiatures (Etsy) up and running again. I'm not live yet, but I'm getting closer.  I started by working on organization; logging into accounts, changing passwords, reading the Etsy catalog to see what has changed (the fees...OMG), reviewing my inventory, opening Photoshop and practicing on things I had mastered a few years ago, and updating all of my devices.

I checked out my Etsy traffic, and I pleased to see that people are still visiting my site, this makes me so happy and I thank you so much!

Mini Mucha Menus...

 Today I completed a Mucha Menu card for a customer who always request unique orders from me. The customer sent me her menu items, I needed to make it fit in a very small space. After playing around for a bit, I was able to make it work. This was so much fun to make. 

The card will be used on a buffet type table that is small. I wasn't sure of the exact size, so I make 3 different sizes in a light version and a dark version. Here's a peek:

Mini Summer Refresh...

 I'm having fun with the little 2x2 inch canvases. Today, I completed this little cutie. I visualize this one in a cute little shabby chic mini home.

I have always wanted to paint little mini canvases. Yesterday, I have a little extra time while the mini furniture was drying. I pulled out a little canvas and created the little modern piece. 

Working on the frame, but excited so I thought I'd share.

Open Again...

Organizing my mini spaces...

Hello everyone, I have been very busy working on a new, organized storage/craft room for fabulouslyflawedminiatures. I'm going through everything!  Every little item has its own space now with a nice little label (using P-Touch). It has taken more time than I anticipated, but I heading towards the finish line. I have delayed reopening twice already and I have to do it again. March 1, 2021 is my new opening date. Thank you for checking in with me, you all are the best!!!

 I've been working on these cute little vintage boards this week, should have a few up next week.

Miniature Samplers...

 I love cross stitched samplers on linen. There was a time when I was so obsessed, I would spend hours and hours cross stitching. I have a few pieces in hanging in my bedroom and it dawned on me, "I can turn these into minis". So I started taking pictures, editing, sizing and framing. Below is a set that I am grouping together. They are so tiny and super adorable. I hope you like them.

Uploading new minis...

 Starting to upload lots of new minis this week. I have tons of new work, so it's going to be a long process. 

New Items Peek...

I started taking photos of my new items to be listed in my Etsy shop yesterday. Of the 174 photos, there were only 4 or 5 that I really liked. I'm going to take today off and start fresh on Monday, but here's a little peek and what I have coming. I believe I counted 16 sofas, 6 wing chairs, 7 ottomans and 2 islands. I will also be uploading new hand knitted throws, poufs, linen throws and lots of new duvets sets. 

Fresh White Linen...

 This is one of 3 white linen sofas I  have completed for this my "Sofa Collection" coming to my Etsy shop, fabulouslyflawedmini at the end of this month. I believe I have a total of 15 sofas in a few several styles and colors, including modern and contemporary.

Duck Egg Linen Sofa...

Just completed this lovely Linen sofa in a beautiful Duck Egg color. I have one more sofa to complete and it's a wrap for the upholstered mini furniture for a bit.
