Let there be fringe...

This morning I tested another rug, I wanted to see what it would look like with fringe. It turned out so nice. I had to make a few edits to the rug, but I'm loving it.
The sample below (with fringe) is not glued yet, but I wanted to give you an idea of  what the fringe rugs will look like. Also, I don't think all the rugs require fringe, so some will be "fringeless"(is that a word?)

Introducing Area Rugs...

I've been playing around with printing rugs. After a few test, I finally got the look I want. They are beautiful!
I still have a little work to do, I want to add fringe to the edges to give them a totally realistic look. You will see these testers in my staging photos for the new items I'm listing. Once I have all the new items done, I will start adding the rugs. OMG, did I say I was so EXCITED!!!!

Turning My Original Artwork into Minis...

I try to create one new piece of original artwork a year. My husband told me, "you should turn your original artwork to mini". I thought it was a good idea, so this weekend I gave it a try. Here are two of my favorites.

The Need to Create...

As usual, I'm working on several things at one time, but the biggest job is getting the new stuff uploaded to my shop. There are some things that I can just photo, edit and upload and there are some new items I want to create a scene with before I sell them. Of course, this requires a few "new builds". So far I have created 2 beds, a vintage metal post board, tons of artwork, new painted walls and new stained floors. It just never ends, and I mean that in a good way. :)

The Poufs are cute little seating that you can move all around your mini home. These are hand knitted with teeny tiny needles using thin thread. I have them in beautiful colors. Look for them in my shop over the next few days.

Over the last 2 days, I've worked hard on a few "new builds". Tonight, I took a little time to create this little scene.  I'm loving the board so much, it's going to be hard to part with. ;(

A Room of One's Own...

This summer my family and I headed out to Los Angeles. I love visiting the beautifully displayed shops they have all around the city. We came across a wonderful clothing store that had a lovely hanging bed. My daughter fell in love, and so did I. As much as I would love to create this setting for her, we both realized that it is probably more practical in mini.
Here is my take on what we are calling, "A Room of One's Own".

Staging, Photography, Lising, Oh My...

Pouf...

Working on some very cool poufs for your mini homes...
What are poufs? A large sold cushion, usually cylindrical or cubic in shape, used as a seat. They can easily move around a room to add extra seating where needed.
