The Need to Create...

As usual, I'm working on several things at one time, but the biggest job is getting the new stuff uploaded to my shop. There are some things that I can just photo, edit and upload and there are some new items I want to create a scene with before I sell them. Of course, this requires a few "new builds". So far I have created 2 beds, a vintage metal post board, tons of artwork, new painted walls and new stained floors. It just never ends, and I mean that in a good way. :)

The Poufs are cute little seating that you can move all around your mini home. These are hand knitted with teeny tiny needles using thin thread. I have them in beautiful colors. Look for them in my shop over the next few days.

Over the last 2 days, I've worked hard on a few "new builds". Tonight, I took a little time to create this little scene.  I'm loving the board so much, it's going to be hard to part with. ;(

I have been so lazy when it comes to photographing. Needless to say, I have accumulated a huge amount of minis that I have to get listed.

A Few Twins...

Hello. I've been working on a few fun things in mini size.
I found an adorable cat print that I made wonderful bed throws and a few toss pillows with. I am kicking myself for not buying more, as that graphic is so cute!!! I also spent a little time working on a few twin size duvet sets. I am not sure how they will sell, but wanted to give it a try.
Stay tuned, as I will be adding lots of new queen (double) size duvet sets in wonderful "Spring Time" fabrics.

New Photo Booth Fun...

Playing around with my new photo booth. Created a little movie so that you can see the set up and the name of the booth. I also took a few photos with my iPhone. I did nothing to the photos other than crop the size, they are coming out very crisp and sharp.

I am slowly adding new bedding to the shop. It takes quite a bit of time to make and stage the beds. So I'm allowing myself to make a few a week. I love playing around with color combinations and texture. In addition to the duvets, you will see a combination of items I have listed in the shop; throws, small and larger throw pillows, bolster pillows and hand painted canvas rugs.

New Bedding...

I am really preparing my shop for holiday shopping (fingers x'd). There are lots of new items listed and I have tons more coming. This week I have loaded new 1 1/2 inch toss/throw pillows, new 1 1/4 inch toss/throw pillows, lots of new wonderful color faux shelf blankets and I am slowly starting to add new duvet sets and new smaller hand knitted toss/throw pillow sets in wonderful colors. Once I get all the new items loaded, I will get back to a few wood pieces I never completed, a few small accessories and furniture (chairs and sofas). My goal is to make as many items as I can by the end of October. Then I can take a mini break.

If I Can Make a Chair, I Should Be Able to Make a Sofa...

I have been obsessing on upholstered chairs these last few weeks. While hanging out in Los Angeles, I purchased lots wonderful fabrics. Seeing the fabrics come to life is so addictive.

While working on a few chairs, it dawned on me, if I can make a chair, I should be able to make a sofa, a much needed sofa for staging!... (a slight deviation from my "chair" goal)

I put together a pattern for the sofa. It's the same look as the chairs, just longer. I wanted a larger, shabby-ish looking sofa. I went to the Restoration Hardware website to get an idea of the size. I compromised between and 72" (6 inches) and 84"(7 inches), and made the pattern 6 1/2 inches. While shopping for fabric, I stumbled upon a wonderful fabric that had a great texture. At the time, I didn't know what I would use if for, but I didn't want to pass it up. I decided to try it on the sofa. I love it! It is exactly what I need for staging some of the new items I have coming to the shop.
I'm loving the photos ;).
