A Few Wings...
White Farm Table...
Just finished this little cutie. All white farm table with 2 benches. As with most of my furniture, the set is lightly distressed to give an aged look. This table will look fabulous in a shabby setting, cottage setting or vintage setting.

Farm Table and Hutch...
Finally finished one complete table. Also made a small little hutch that goes nicely with the table.
1 down, 6 more to go! Decided I have to make seating for all the tables, so I have lots of work to do. Will upload as I get them completed.

Working in Wood...
I keep going back and forth on the seating for the Farm Tables, should I sell the tables with seating or not? I'm leaning towards seating, so today I created a bench set for the Pure White Farm Table I'm creating. I plan on creating a beautiful blue linen cushion for each bench. While the bench paint is drying, I pulled out a HofM kit and change it up a bit. I will go from a simple cabinet to a wonderful dining room hutch to hold mini silverware, 2 storage baskets to hold extras and a towel rack on the side. I'm thinking this will work well the the Old White Farm Table and Bench Set. Will be working late tonight ;).

Lovely Old White Chalk Paint...
Today I worked on a painted farm table. This one is painted with Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint, my favorite. I wanted the table to have an old, vintage look, so the distressing is intentional. The farm table, right now has only one bench (I'm working on the second), I was excited to share. I also made a cushion for the bench seat with a pretty vintage style fabric. I'm hoping to list this one and 2 other tables (no seating) by Friday.
Just my luck, my mini miter saw broke right in the middle of working on the table bases, so I had to order a replacement. Hopefully it will arrive in the next few days...maybe I should go do some "real house" cleaning??? ;).

Creating New Goals...
Here's the big project I've been working on. Farm House Tables in different styles that you can customize to your mini home style.
The first offering will be in the Natural, Weathered, Rustic and Dark finishes. I'm starting off with one base, Annie Sloan Pure White. This base works well with all the stained tops. (Still have to seal the tops, but I'm so excited, I had to share!).
The next group will include Distressed Painted Table Tops and Bottoms. I'm trying to move my shop in a slightly different direction, mainly focusing on furniture items. I have lots of ideas, but it's just me working, so the process is slow. Initially, the goal was to sell the Farm Table and Parson Chairs as a set, but the chairs require lots and lots of time, so I will make a few sets, then decide if I want to offer them in the shop.

Farm Table Tops...
I've been working on Miniature Dollhouse Farm Tables. I think I have a pretty good design, but want to offer different table top stains, as well as different base colors. Tonight, I could not resist playing around with an idea that I had to create a darker finish on the table top. The darker stain applied to this type of wood gave a silver like finish that I did not like. After lots of sanding and playing around with different techniques, I was able to get a "Restoration Hardware" style finish that I was going for. I still have to apply a sealer, but I love the finish. It's really going to pop on a Annie Sloan White Base.
Next, I would like to try one that has a red chipped paint finish, so I'm going to go study a Primitive/Folk Art Book that I have, then I may attempt to duplicate that style (finger x'd on that idea).
Have a wonderful weekend,
Anita

The Farm Table...
The Farm Table is complete and now (while the parson chairs are drying), I'm working on several in different colors for the Etsy shop.
I intentionally tried to make the table top look old and used, the legs are painted with Annie Sloan Chalk paint and waxed. I'm going a little crazy because I seemed to have misplaced my Annie Sloan Dark Stain Can (I'm literally going crazy)!
Having fun with staging today, so lots of photos here.
Happy Valentine's Day,
-Anita

One Parson Chair Finished...
I finished one chair this morning and I love it! Not an easy project, but worth all the time. Can't wait to finish the other 3 chairs and farm table. Note to self, "don't choose a pattern fabric that has to match when testing a design.".

Parson Chairs and Farm Tables...
I am so excited about this project! Parson Dining Chairs and an Old Farm Table. I created the chair pattern in Illustrator, cut out several with my Cricut, and now I'm working on the upholstery.
I plan on staining the farm table and painting the legs with Annie Sloan Pure White and age it to make it look old. Gotta go cook right now, but might be working late tonight ;).

A Major Find...
I was walking around one of the larger craft stores when I stumbled across this wonderful find (see photo below). I am a Graphic Artist and this is the kind of stuff I LOVE!
There's all kinds of goodness here; clock faces, vintage ballpark numbers, old maps, accounting logs, vintage photographs, old advertising signs, old bingo cards, vintage flowers, it goes on and on. It was the last one and I was so happy that it was soon going to belong to me! I'm hoping to use them in various ways like, wall art (I plan on creating frames for the larger images), and shrinking some down to accessorize a scene. When I start working in wood again, I can visualize them adding an extra pop to the piece.
